Humanitarian Missionary Tour
We took a tour of some of the projects our Humanitarian
Missionaries are involved
Schools
The Church provides assistance with desk, chairs, books and etc to schools who need help. This school had it's window blown our during our last typhoon.
Little Sisters of the Poor
The Church works with other charitable organizations. Little Sisters of the Poor provide housing to seniors who do not have anywhere else to go. It is run by 7 Nuns.
The Cameron's were dropping off some supplies for their organization.
The grounds are beautiful
Another organization donated some solar panels to help lower their electric bills.
The Sisters are doing a great work!
Water Tanks
The church provides a lot of water tanks to villages. Quite often they are the type that catch the rain water off the roof and store it.
This is the start of a new project to add a new plastic tank to hold water from a spring. They are also repairing the old cement water tank and running new water lines to the water house.
Retaining area
Water House for village members to get water.
Old cement water tank they will be repairing to double the size of storage.
The Village is in quite a poor circumstances. All Church donations require the village to provide the labor for the project so they have ownership in the project.
Elder Gurr served his mission here in Samoa and loves talking with the little kids.
Elder Cameron is heading up the project.

On the way back, we stopped by a little family to drop off some hygiene kits .
We also dropped by Elder Fata's property, (our Area Authority Seventy) . He would eventually like to build a future summer home on his wife's family property. Now it is just a fun place for the Family Service Missionaries to help at.
